Clearcast

Clearcast are an organization that checks ads against the UK Code of Broadcast Advertising, which sets out what is and isn’t permitted to be shown for broadcast on the UK’s main commercial channels.

Broadcast advertising rules can seem very complicated, especially when you’re trying to come up with original creative ideas and turn them into ads to wow your target audience. Their training courses help agencies, creatives, advertisers and broadcasters get to grips with ad rules and learn how to work within them.

BARB

BARB is responsible for delivering the UK’s television audience measurement currency. They commission research companies Ipsos MORI, Kantar Media and RSMB to collect data that represent the viewing behaviour of the UK’s 27 million TV households. They run training sessions to help the media and advertising industry better understand the strength of the TV broadcast currency. There are two sessions to choose from; one to support the emerging generation of media agency, broadcaster and advertiser talent, and another to advance the skills of those already established in the television industry.

Advertising Association

The Advertising Association promotes the rights, roles and responsibilities of advertising. They represent UK advertisers, agencies and brands on behalf of the entire industry, acting as the connection between industry professionals and the politicians and policy-makers.

Every year the Advertising Association offers emerging talent the opportunity to learn the ropes from leading experts on its Media Business Course which connects hundreds of young industry practitioners with industry veterans, many of whom are previous graduates of the course.

This online course offers best practice in sustainability for advertising professionals. Sky Media Skills

Sky Media is the advertising sales arm of Sky. Through world-class content, combined with market-leading innovations like AdSmart, Sky Media gives brands access to audiences wherever they are and however they watch.  

Sky Media Skills is an interactive portal that aids better understanding of the wide range of Sky's advertising products and capabilities. Each of the eight bite-sized module takes roughly 15 minutes to complete, covering everything from VOD to One Campaign, as well as the measurement and targeting capabilities on offer.
