Any more dishes?

Dogs have very sensitive hearing, and Harvey reckons he can hear individual bubbles bursting when he’s doing the dishes. If you listen carefully to this exclusive piece of extra footage you may just be able to appreciate the wonderful world of washing up as experienced by Harvey.

Tea for Two

After friends and family, people love talking about TV more than anything else and they do this everywhere, even over cups of make-believe tea. This is great news for Harvey because, although a hot cup of Darjeeling smells pretty interesting, like most dogs, he prefers his water cold.

Walking the Dog

Behavioural experts believe that dogs like a walk because it reminds them of the migration of their wolf ancestors. Harvey thinks it has more to do with interesting smells, the wind in your fur and the nice people you meet in the park. Also, no matter how hard he stares into the mirror, he’s unable to see much wolf looking back at him. Despite this difference of opinion, Harvey enjoys a daily constitutional, and he likes to make sure others get theirs too, as you can see in this exclusive bit of extra footage of Harvey in the great outdoors.

World Class Whittler

Many whittlers believe that whittling is a meditative process: ideal for quiet contemplation. Harvey, however, takes a different view. He’s a busy dog and prefers to crack on with his woodwork, as you will see in this exclusive clip of the little fellow in action. Just hit play on the player above!

#Harvey to return to TV in new Thinkbox ad
Harvey has been taking time off from doing the ironing, cooking, taking the kids to school and playing chess, so that he can make another TV ad. He plans to have his ad on the telly in May and very much hopes that everyone will like it. In the meantime, here’s a nice picture of him on set with his favourite camera; perfectly set up to give him that essential dogs-eye view of the action.

Now in its fourth year, Dogs Trust Honours is the awards ceremony that celebrates the relationship between man and dog. Winners in five categories were presented with their awards by celebrity dog lovers including Alesha Dixon, Lauren Socha, Britt Ekland, Nicky Campbell and the Only Way is Essex stars Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger. We’re delighted to report that Harvey, who stole the nation’s hearts in Thinkbox’s recent TV ad, was voted Celebrity Canine of the year. Harvey has always believed in the power of TV advertising, but the public’s response has taken even him by surprise. Harvey would like to thank the Dog’s Trust for thinking of him and also for doing a top job re-homing lots of other “Harveys”. You can find out more about the work of The Dog’s Trust and their annual awards, right here.

#A busy dog
You may have seen Harvey on the telly a lot recently, either in his Thinkbox ad or moonlighting on Midsomer Murders, and wondered when on earth he finds the time to do his weekly shopping? Well, it’s not easy, but it’s something he likes to do. Harvey is particularly careful about the order in which he places items in his shopping bag: tins and jars on the bottom, then veg and fruit, and finally yummy things that he may need speedy access to on the way home, like a box of bonio or some mini-sausage treats from the deli counter. French bread though, has quite obviously not been designed for easy canine transportation, which is why crushing it with a paw can be fun when you get it home

#His Master's Voice
Some of you have been kind of enough to say that you miss seeing Harvey on TV. Well the good news is the little fellow's back on air, from today, Friday 4th March. So keep an eye out for him. In the meantime, here's a nice picture of Harvey doing his best impersonation of the "His Master's Voice" dog, but with a modern twist of his own devising.

#Apps and appability
Harvey's just come across an iPhone app which lets you 'catch' animated characters from the Honda Jazz TV ad on your iPhone - including a dog you can tickle. All you have to do is get the app and then shake your phone at the telly at just the right moment when the ad is on. Harvey's had quite a lot of fun doing this, but would recommend that dogs everywhere only use their own iPhones for this, because in all the excitement they generally need a bit of a polish afterwards.

#3D Dog
Harvey likes to keep up with latest TV innovations: bigger screens, surround sound, digital television recorders, High Definition, and recently, 3DTV. Modern dogs like him are quick to point out that each new development makes watching the big telly even better. Here's a picture of Harvey road-testing 3DTV. Having a Hi-def nose, he's very much looking forward to Smellovision.

#Happy Christmas from Harvey
Harvey loves Christmas. He particularly likes a sparkling tree; a soft tartan rug placed in pole position by the fire; control of the TV remote and lots of visitors. You just never know who's going to pop in for a glass of egg nog or a bonio. Being an organised dog, Harvey has already hung a stocking out for Santa to fill: nothing too big, mind, but not too small either.

#Turkey Treat
It's great to be able to use TV technology to record something for later viewing, particularly if you're a busy dog. You can also use these clever boxes to watch your favourite bits of telly over and over again. Harvey likes to do just that with an M&S Christmas ad he found on the planner. It's the one with the very tasty looking turkey.

#Perfect Slippers
The desire to keep your toes warm in a pair of Spongebob or Homer Simpson novelty slippers is something only humans can explain. Harvey wonders if the designers of these things have ever tried picking them up with their teeth. He prefers fetching a classic slipper; something with balance, a soft natural lining and no eyes; a slipper that just says "welcome home".

#Methodical dog
When you've got a long list of chores to get through, it's good fun to pretend you're someone else. Harvey's a bit of a film buff and likes to think of how De Niro might approach the ironing if Pacino was noisily doing the washing up. Sometimes he plays Fellini doing the laundry. It's very inspiring.

#Two screen dog
Harvey read somewhere that 94% of people had gone online as a result of seeing something on TV in the last year (http://bit.ly/b4M3zk). Modern dogs like to do this too, and this is why Harvey keeps his trusty laptop just a scamper away from the telly. Here's a picture of him doing a bit of research, having seen a Baker's Complete ad on the TV. He would very much like a credit card for Christmas.

#Bird watching
Harvey is particularly enjoying Jamie's 30 Minute Meals at the moment. It's just the ticket for a busy dog. At weekends, Harvey has more time, which means he can spend a full an hour and half watching the perfect roast chicken brown in the oven. This too, is good viewing. In case you're wondering how he does it, Harvey's version of this family favourite includes a nice lemon, some fresh thyme and a few unpeeled garlic cloves. Yummy!

#Your move!
Despite all the other things we can do with our time, people really like watching the telly, and research shows that nowadays we're watching more TV than ever before. Harvey knows this, which is why he thought he'd better make a TV ad to get his message across. Like most dogs, he'll watch any sport or costume drama - he finds men in knee-length socks particularly funny - and, of course, being a deep thinker, he likes a really good documentary. However, between his favourite TV shows, doing the laundry and cleaning the windows, Harvey can always find time for a nice game of chess. In this picture, Harvey has just played Dog to Bishop 4.

#Harvey on Fame
Whilst many of us have our noses stuck in latest paperback blockbuster, Harvey's favourite book is Marketing in the Era of Accountability. It's within these hallowed pages that he discovered how important fame - getting your ad talked about - is to anybody interested in effective advertising. Being a particularly smart dog, he only had to read it once before he knew he wanted to make a TV ad, because that's the best way to get people talking ... and also because you get your own trailer. So there you have it; the thinking behind his TV ad AND a good book for the beach.

#Keeping it cool
As a keen walker, it's not surprising that Harvey's a big fan of the environment. He likes to do his bit for the planet by using the latest low-temperature laundry detergents; saving on energy and the household bills. He's also fond of switching lights off. Although, when you're only little, this can involve a good deal of jumping up and down.

#Every home needs a Harvey
Seeing and hearing something is often a lot more engaging than reading about it. Dogs know this. It's also why Harvey decided to make a TV ad to get his message across. He chose "You ain't seen nothing yet" as his sound-track because it sums him up pretty well, and it's also good for a bit of air guitar.

#For paws that do dishes
It doesn't pay to put off doing the dishes. In fact with a bowl of steaming hot water and the odd soap bubble dancing around your nose, washing up can be a lot of fun. Harvey likes to wear a good pair of gloves to protect his paws.

#Mirror Signal Manoeuvre
A demisting spray is very handy for your rear-view mirror, particularly if you find yourself panting a lot behind the wheel. Harvey likes to check all three of his mirrors in sequence and is extra vigilant during the school run.

#Cutting edge thinking
Knowing how to mow can give you a thicker, healthier, and more beautiful lawn. Harvey knows this. Of course he does. With a bit of planning, it really isn't a chore and how nice alternating light and dark shades of green can look, especially when you're so close to the ground.

#Steamed up
Shirts can be tricky. When ironing the top layer of a sleeve, Harvey likes to make absolutely sure that there are no creases on the bottom layer. Few other dogs care as much.

#Introducing Harvey
Harvey had this promo shot made early on his career, and it's something he like to use on all his films. His mother's got a copy, and he thought you might like one for your desktop.
